World's Hottest Footballer, Kylian Mbappe Is Actually From Nigeria, His Middle Name Is Adesanmi

BY IGBAGI DORIS ISHIOMA

Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe has attracted some of the biggest sides in world football in the last few weeks, making the 18-year-old football’s most courted teenager.

The striker took Europe by storm last season, scoring 26 goals in all competitions in his first full season at senior club level. Mbappe is one of the most sought after players in the summer transfer market in  Europe. Reports on Tuesday claimed that Real Madrid has agreed to sign the teenager for £161m

While close followers of the emerging striker acknowledge his ability to carve out goals, not much of these people know that the hugely talented player has Nigerian roots, as a recent research by The PUNCH has shown.

Kylian’s father, Wilfred Mbappe, who has Cameroonian and Nigerian roots, was once a refuge, who migrated to France for greener pastures. According to reports, Wilfred in a bid to get a permanent stay got married to an Algerian-French lady Fayza, an ex-handball player.
Kylian was given a Yoruba middle name Adesanmi meaning “crown fits me” by Wilfred, who also adopted a son, Jirès Kembo Ekoko, a professional footballer of Congolese descent, but has a biological son and younger brother of Kylian named Adeyemi Mbappe, in recognition of his Nigerian roots.
Adeyemi is a Yoruba name meaning “the crown befits you.” Indeed, Adeyemi is the reason why Kylian celebrates his goals by posing with his arms crossed and thumbs up.
“This is how my younger brother celebrated when he beat me in the FIFA  video game,” said Mbappe.

Wilfried works as a coach at AS Bondy and he started training Kylian at the age of six. He also spends time coaching Adeyemi, while he is currently his Kylian’s agent. Meanwhile, the Monaco star has also been linked as a grandson of Cameroonian midfield legend Samuel Mbappe Leppe. But findings by a correspondent has shown  that the late Leppe, who played for Oryx Douala in the 1950s and 1960s, winning five leagues and three Cup title (1963, 1968 and 1970) and was the first captain to lift the African Champions Clubs’ Cup in the 1964/65 season, may not have any biological links with Kylian.

By ONAKPOJERUO PRAISES
14-year-old girl who was forced by her parents to marry a 40-year-old man against her wishes has been arrested by the Niger State Police Command for allegedly clubbing the man to death » five months later.
Total Media reports that the young suspect identified as Aisha Isah was forced by her parents to marry » the deceased, Isiaka Usman , her cousin, from Lifari village in the Mashegu Local Government Area of the state in April 2017, despite her protestations.
It was gathered that the suspect had been complaining to her parents that Usman who already had two wives before marrying her, had been starving and maltreating her, begging her parents to take her back from his house but all her pleas fell on deaf ear
It was also learned from residents of the village that one of Usman's two wives had left him on account of his failure to meet up with his responsibilities to his family.
The teenage suspect reportedly told the police during interrogation that her late husband had failed to provide food for her for several days, leading to frustration.
“He had been starving me and four days and he when I confronted him, he slapped me and out of anger, I hit him on the forehead with a pestle and he collapsed and died.
My husband had the habit of not giving us money for food and each time we (the wives) confront him, he would tell us to go to our parents’ home and eat. He never cared about us; he beat us every time we demanded money for food.”
Asked if the other wife was at home at the time of the incident, she stated that the other wife went to the hospital with her baby.
“My mate was not around; it was only me and my late husband that were in the house at the time of the incident. It was when he slapped me that I picked a pestle and hit him. He fell on the ground and I ran to my mother’s house at Kahigu Village in Mashegu Council,” Isah confessed.
She added that she did not kill Usman deliberately as it was out of anger and frustration and pleaded for forgiveness.
“I am sorry for what happened; it is the devil’s work and I pray my parents will forgive me. I never knew that he would die, I regretted all my actions,” she stated.
The State Police Public Relations Officer [PPRO],
ASP Bala Elkanah who confirmed the incident, said the victim died at Mashegu Hospital where he was taken for treatment.
Describing the incident as rather unfortunate, ASP Elkanah said the suspect would nevertheless be prosecuted as a juvenile offended

BANANA FIGHTS AGAINST HEART DISEASE 7 BENEFIT OF BANANA TO OUR HEALTH

BY IFUKOR HARRISON AZUBIKE
An instant energy booster, banana is one fruit that is commonly available across the globe. In India, it is given much importance where various regional cuisines use it in making sinful desserts - kheermalpuahalwapayasamsheera, and paniyaram, to name a few. The raw fruit too is not left behind. Cut into smaller chunks or thinly sliced using a mandolin, it gets used up in making wafers, subzis, kebabs, pakoras, and the famous curries of Kerala such as Avial and Kalan. If you travel towards the East and the Northeast, you will come across it in the local breakfast cereal, known as jolpan in Assam, which usually contains puffed or sticky rice mixed with curd and jaggery, and topped with banana pieces.

It is a common feature in breakfast menus, and it is definitely with good reason. It provides you instant energy to kickstart your day, and is said to be very good for the stomach. Most natural home remedies in India circling around an upset stomach, call for using bananas as a remedy along with a few other ingredients. A single piece of banana is said to contain only 90 calories, which also makes it a great (and healthy) snack to munch on rather than sugar loaded goodies or deep-fried treats. Carry one in your tiffin bag, and you will be thanking your stars whenever a sudden hunger pang grips you. (Eat the Peels: How Banana Peels Could Help You Lose Some Weight)

Benefits of Banana

A look into the nutritional breakdown of bananas and it reveals the following: per 100 grams, it contains 0.3 gm total fat, zero cholesterol, 1 mg salt, about 360 mg potassium, 2.6 gm dietary fiber, 12 gm sugar and 1.1 gm protein. If you still need reasons as to why you must include bananas in your diet, here are some -

1. High Fiber Content

Banana is loaded with fiber, both soluble and insoluble. The soluble fiber has the tendency to slow down digestion and keep you feeling full for a longer time. Which is why bananas are often included in a breakfast meal so that you can start about your day without having to worry about the next meal.

2. Heart Health

High fiber foods are said to be good for the heart. According to a study done by University of Leeds in UK, increasing consumption of fiber-rich foods such as bananas can lower risk of both cardiovascular disease (CVD) and coronary heart disease (CHD).

3. Ease in Digestion

According to Ayurveda, banana has a sweet and sour taste. The sweet taste is said to bring about a sense of heaviness but the sour taste is known to stimulate agni (the digestive juices), thereby supporting digestion and helping in building up metabolism.

4. Powerhouse of Nutrients

Banana is a heavyweight when it comes to nutrition. It is loaded with essential vitamins and minerals such as potassium, calcium, manganese, magnesium, iron, folate, niacin, riboflavin, and B6. These all contribute to the proper functioning of the body and keeping you healthy.

5. High Source of Potassium

The high content of potassium in bananas makes it a super fruit. This mineral is known for its numerous health benefiting properties - it helps in regulating heartbeat, blood pressure, and keeps the brain alert.

6. Blood Pressure

It is a known fact that salt is the evil when it comes to high blood pressure. Bananas have low salt content and high potassium content, and these properties contribute to making it ideal for those undergoing this condition.

7. Helps Fight Anaemia

Due to the high iron content in bananas, they are good for those suffering from anaemia. Anaemia is a condition where there is a decrease in the number of red blood cells or haemoglobin in the blood. This leads to fatigue, shortness of breath, and paleness.

Cooking with Bananas

There are a number exciting ways in which you can add bananas into your diet. Some points to remember while buying them are -

* If you are buying by the dozen, make sure you pick slightly firm bananas so that they last you at least 4-5 days without spoiling.

*Bananas tend to ripe really quickly, which is why after a while the peels turn back while the flesh become gooey. A smart thing to do would be to buy in smaller quantities and enjoy them fresh.

PINEAPPLE CAN FIGHT AGAINST CANCER 11 AMAZING HEALTH BENEFITS OF PINEAPPLES

BY IHWUGHWAVWE MAUREEN KPAROBO

Arthritis Management: One of the most celebrated uses of pineapple in terms of health is its ability to reduce the inflammation of joints and muscles, particularly those associated with arthritis, a truly debilitating disease that affects millions of people around the world. Pineapples contain a relatively rare proteolytic enzyme called bromelain, which is primarily associated with breaking down complex proteins, but it also has serious anti-inflammatory effects, and has been positively correlated with reducing the signs and symptoms of arthritis in many test subjects.

Immune System: A single serving of pineapple has more than 130% of the daily requirement of vitamin-C for human beings, making it one of the richest and most delicious sources of ascorbic acid.  Vitamin C is mainly associated with reducing illnesses and boosting the immune system by stimulating the activity of white blood cells and acting as an antioxidant to defend against the harmful effects of free radicals. Free radicals are dangerous byproducts of cellular metabolism that can damage various organ systems and disrupt function, as well as cause healthy cells to mutate into cancerous ones. The vitamin C content of pineapples defends against this.

Tissue and Cellular Health: One of the commonly overlooked benefits of vitamin C is its essential role in creating collagen. This is partly the reason why it is seen as a healing vitamin, because collagen is the essential protein base of blood vessel walls, skin, organs, and bones. High vitamin C content helps you heal wounds and injuries to the body quickly, along with defending against infections and illness.

Cancer Prevention: In addition to the antioxidant potential of vitamin C in the battle against cancer, pineapples are also rich in various other antioxidants, including vitamin A, beta carotene, bromelain, various flavonoid compounds, and high levels of manganese, which is an important co-factor of superoxide dismutase, an extremely potent free radical scavenger that has been associated with a number of different cancers. Pineapple has been directly related to preventing cancers of the mouth, throat, and breast.

Digestion: Like most fruits, pineapples are a rich source of fiber, but they are special in the way that they contain both soluble and insoluble fiber. This means that eating a healthy amount of pineapples can protect you from a vast amount of health conditions, including constipationdiarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, atherosclerosisand blood clotting, as well as blood pressure. Fiber can bulk up stool, which promotes the passage of food through the digestive tract at a normal rate, and also stimulates the release of gastric and digestive juices to help food dissolve. Furthermore, it bulks up loose stool, which helps with diarrhea and IBS. Fiber also strips the blood vessels clean of excess cholesterol and eliminates it from the body, thereby boosting cardiovascular health.

Coughs and Colds: The normal immune system boosting power of vitamin C is well known, but that special enzyme, bromelain,is also connected with the reduction of phlegm and mucus build up in the respiratory tracts and sinus cavities. It therefore prevents the illnesses that cause phlegm and mucus build-up, while also treating them by loosening those materials and helping you eliminate them from your body if you’ve already contracted an illness or infection.

Bone Health: Although pineapples are not famous for having a strong calcium content, which most people immediately associate with bone health, it does have an impressive amount of manganese, which is another trace mineral that is essential in the strengthening of bones, as well as their growth and repair. Manganese is the most prominent mineral in pineapple, and a single serving can deliver more than 70% of your daily requirement of this essential mineral.

Oral Health: Along with the antioxidant compounds that protect against oral cancer, pineapples also have astringent properties, which strengthen gums and make sure that your teeth do not become loose. Astringent agents help to tighten up tissues and tone the body so things like tooth losshair loss, and muscle weakness or skin loosening does not occur. Pineapples are very powerful astringents and are often prescribed as a natural remedy to fix loosening of teeth or for the retraction of gums.

Eye Health: Vision is one of the most important senses for human beings, and pineapples have been directly connected to boosting eye health and preventing the age-related eye deficiencies that often occur. Macular degeneration affects many elderly people, and beta carotene can help delay this vision problem. Keeping proper amounts of beta-carotene in your diet from fruits and vegetables is essential if you want to properly see the world well into your old age.

Blood Pressure: Pineapples are a valuable source of many minerals, and potassium is among them. This is one of the most important minerals in our body, and potassium deficiency can result in a wide array of health hazards. One of the most important functions of potassium is as a vasodilator, meaning that it eases the tension and stress of the blood vessels and increases blood circulation to various parts of the body. When your blood vessels relax, your blood pressure is reduced and the flow of blood is less restricted. This can prevent clots from blocking the flow of blood and reduces the accumulation of plaque in the arteries and vessels. This helps people prevent conditions like atherosclerosis, heart attacks and strokes. So eat your pineapples for a healthy heart!

Blood Circulation: In a related benefit to the vasodilating potential of potassium, pineapples also provides the body with copper, another essential mineral that functions in a number of enzymatic reactions and compounds in the body. Most notably, copper is a necessary element for the formation of healthy red blood cells. High red blood cell count increases oxygenation to the various organ systems and makes them function at optimal levels. It also increases cognitive abilities and can maintain neural pathways to prevent neural disorders like dementiaand Alzheimer’s disease.

Word of Caution: The benefits of eating pineapple are clear from the impressive list of qualities that you just read, but there is always something about foods that should be cautioned against, and pineapples are no exception. The bromelain in pineapples is primarily a meat-tenderizing enzyme, which is why it is so helpful in the digestion of tough foods. This can result in the softening or tenderness of your “meat” as well, meaning that your lips, gums, and tongue might experience some tenderness or sensitivity if you eat too much pineapple. Bromelain is a powerful chemical, as is vitamin C, if taken in excess. Both of these are in high proportions in pineapple, and an “overdose” can lead to vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, headaches, and nausea. Also, bromelain has been known to stimulate menstruation, so pregnant women should avoid excessive pineapple, as the high levels of bromelain can actually lead to a miscarriage in rare cases.

Other than those health concerns, grab one of these spiky tropical fruits and dig in. Your body will thank you for it

MORE PROOF OF PRESIDENT BUHARI'S HEALTH

BY IFUKOR HARRISON AZUBIKE

Following the widely circulated single image of President Buhari’s reported meeting with an APC delegation which raised authenticity doubts among some people, more pictures of Buhari have emerged from his meeting with representatives of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) on Wednesday.
Unlike the first unannounced visit evidenced by a single photo, this second visit was confirmed to the press by the presidency and feedback was anticipated by Nigerians.
The pictures show a lively and high-spirited Buhari engaging with the governors and assuming different postures including standing.
These newly released photos are certainly an improvement on the former one and many will likely deem them substantial evidence of the president’s improved health.
The delegation comprised of seven governors led by Zamfara State Governor (APC) and chairman of NGF, Abdulaziz Yari.
Other members are, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors of Ebonyi and Akwa-Ibom states, Dave Umahi and Udom Emmanuel respectively, as well as All Progressives Congress (APC) governors Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo State), Kashim Shettima (Borno State), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje (Kano State), and Samuel Ortom (Benue State).

…As stakeholders unveil draft report on work plan

By Onwudiachi Anwuli Joy

ABUJA– The Federal Government, Tuesday, disclosed that it has in the last three years spent well over N34 billon on sponsorship of education of Niger Delta youths studying in various institutions of learning across the world.
Special Adviser to the President on amnesty, Gen. Paul Boroh (retd)
The Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brig-Gen Paul Boro, rted, said this at the 3rd Quarterly meeting of Ministers of Niger Delta Affairs, petroleum Resources Ministry, Governors of States in the Niger Delta and multi-national oil companies operating in the region, held in Abuja.
Meanwhile, to ensure a well coordinated and fast tracking of projects implementation, the stakeholders have unveiled a Draft Report on work plan for the region covering 2017 to 2019.
In his address at the meeting, Gen. Boroh, who emphasised on adverse implication of the conflict in society, said the Nigeria must do everything to ensure we achieve that to prevent conflict.
According to him, “Most of last week, I was at the United Nations headquarters, New York city in the United states of America, USA, for the Millennium Development Goals, MDGs, and I showed them what we have being doi8ng in the Niger Delta region.
“By the time I finished and gave them our compendium, they were amazed. They were happy and they tasked us to be on standby to help in resolving the militancy in Cote d’Ivoire. That means the world is aware of what we are doing to achieve stability and development in Niger Delta.
“Cote d’Ivoire government is gong to contact Nigerian Government and they will call on us to tell them the platform which is putting in place towards achieving peace in the region.
“It is very expensive programme, no doubt about it. Peace is expensive. It is better imagined, we will do everything to ensure we achieve that to prevent conflict. I have seen conflict, violent conflict for thatj matter and I don’t want to see it again in our country.
“let us do all we can to achieve peace by ensuring that meetings of this nature are attended with open mind and discuss objectively on how best we can resolve our differences. Let me just give an instance of what Federal government has spent on the area of education on the Presidential Amnesty Programme. The least amount in the past three year is about N34 billion.
“That why you hear of graduations in the United Kingdom, graduations in USA, graduation in Philistine, South Africa. It is huge. This year alone, the Federal Government has graduated 177 beneficiaries from the Presidential Amnesty Programme in the United State, and 140 beneficiaries from United Kingdom.
“Calculate that in Pounds Sterling and US dollars, it is expensive. Please, let us appreciate the federal government for what it is doing towards ensuring peace and stability and development of Niger Delta region.”
In his address, the convener and Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Pastor Usani Uguru Usani, announced the forum has received a draft report on work plan which will serve as guide for projects citing and implementation in the next one and half years.
According to him, “But today, we are able to see a draft report of the 2017 to 2019 work plan. We are not saying action plan or master plan, we are saying work plan.
“That means by this plan our work will be guided. So we are not just formulating what we will do, we are now talking about how we will do, where we will do it, who will do it. That is why it called a work plan for one and half years-between 2017 and 2019.
Usani explained further that, here today, we have come to a reasonable point in our design. There are many plans, there are many programme. Here is not just another one.
“Here, we have established input from the party doing development helping us to carry out careful analysis on which Oil Company is taking action where, which party is acting where to be able to align all our interest and make sure we eliminate all forms of duplication.
“So first choice is tied to the interest of the organisation in carrying out development are going to be put up in the tabular form so as regard in can know exactly what or which company is doing well.
“On our agenda, we also have domesticating oil and gas business in the region. By that I want you to have confidence. We have several complains oil people not carrying out businesses in their location of operation and complains especially the host community that the oil companies don’t recognise them and so on.
“What the Executive secretary of the local Content Development Board has said is going to apply to us. Whereby by deliberate policies, this thing will have to be formulated in the manner whatever accrued to the community everybody will know.
So, false claim will no longer be tenable. Because we will want the community to be involved in a manner that whatever gains they are from what they executing in their region go down to the benefit of the community.”

Everton midfielder Ross Barkley is "looking for a new challenge" and the club "100%" expect him to leave, says manager Ronald Koeman.

Koeman also said he is still interested in Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson after the Welsh club rejected a £40m bid from the Toffees.
The Swans want £50m for the 27-year-old, who scored nine goals last season.

"Ross told me at the end of the season he wanted another challenge," added Koeman before Everton's Europa League third qualifying round first leg tie with Slovakia's Ruzomberok at Goodison Park on Thursday (20:05 BST).

TWO INJURED AS UNIBEN POST GRADUATE STUDENTS PROTEST OVER ORAL DEFENCE FEES

By ONUDIACHI ANWULI JOY

Two students of the University of Benin were tuesday injured during a clash between post-graduate students and security operatives in the institution.
The post-graduate students were protesting introduction of what they termed payment of oral defence fees (External examiner fees) by the school management.
They gathered at the school gate to block the entrance when the school security operatives reportedly swooped on them.
It was during the fracas that two of the students were reportedly injured and taken to the school clinic for medical attention.
A breakdown of the oral defence fee otherwise known as ‘external examiner fees’ showed that Phd students are to pay N90,000, MSc students are to pay N60,000 while PGD students are to pay N30,000.
What angered the students was that they would not defend their thesis and get their results without payment of the fees.
In the protest letter presented by the protesters, the students claimed that the new levy was not captured in the school financial requirement during the admission process.
They said the levy was to be paid into a UNIBEN Cooperative account instead of remita (TSA).
Also, they alleged that some departmental officials are already demanding for bribe from them ‘with the promise to help them circumvent the external levy fees.
One of the protesters who pleaded anonymity said the university management want to make them pay the external examiner.
He said, “What they are calling oral defence fee or Proposal Defence fee if for us to pay external examiners to look at our thesis.
“We stage a protest two weeks ago and part of the recommendation was for the management to make news applicants pay. We have them two weeks ultimatum to revert the decision.
“The two weeks elapsed and we decided to stage this protest. We want to collect our results and go. The school security had a clash with us and some students were injured.”
Spokesman of the institution, Mr. Michael Osasuyi, said the new levy was proved by the institution’s council and that management only carried out directive of the council.
Michael stated that some of the post-graduate students have complied and paid but others are resisting payment.
He said the levy was to enable the post-graduate programmes run smoothly without hitches.
He said those that failed to pay were not ready to defend their thesis and graduate from the institution.

Nigeria: Rice Importation Down By 80% - Osinbajo

BY IGBAGI DORIS ISHIOMA
Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has said Nigeria's rice importation has dropped by over 80 per cent and that the country would be self-sufficient next year.
Declaring open the 16th Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth (CSPOC), Africa Region yesterday in Abuja, Osinbajo said the feat was achieved based on the collaborative efforts of both the Executive and the Legislature.
"In the last two years, Nigeria which is the largest producer of rice in West Africa and the second largest importer of rice in the world has changed that story. Our rice import bill in 2014 was N1billion a month.
"Today by a combination of progressive legislative appropriation to agriculture and providing single digit credit under our anchor borrowers programme for the purchase of right fertilizer quality and other inputs and credit, many rice farmers moved from getting yields of 3.5 metric tons per hectare to 7.5 mt per hectare.
The acting president also said the two arms of government have worked harmoniously in the past two years but that the media gets more interested in disagreements between them.
"On a lighter note, I don't know the experience of Presiding Officers from other nations present of the portrayals by the press of the relationship between the executive and the legislature. Here in Nigeria what makes the news is conflict between the executive and the legislature.
Senate President Bukola Saraki in a goodwill message said the conference should provide opportunity to address certain issues in Africa.
Speaker Yakubu Dogara, who is the chairman of the conference called on legislatures across Africa to break their people free from dictatorship by building strong institutions

HOW I WENT FROM 85KG TO 52KG IN ONLY TWO MONTHS

By IFUKOR HARRISON AZUBIKE

Hello, guys! Everybody has noticed that I have lost a lot of weight and started bombarding me with questions.
My transformation took me TWO MONTHS only! AMAZING RESULT, RIGHT?
Background
I’ve never been skinny but I noticed that I kept gaining more and more weight. I decided to get a fit and healthy body by all means , so I stopped eating greasy and fried food and gave up hearty late meals. I went for the morning run and evening training sessions in the gym but instead of losing weight, I continued gaining more and more! After a month, my weight reached the terrifying mark – ALMOST 100KG!
Neither diets nor exercises help, they are just a rip-off!

Working out is too hard and takes too long to see any progress. So what should I do?
After trying different useless methods of losing weight, spending hours in the gym and thousands of money paid to the personal instructor I gave up completely. One day I ran into an article about the
Green Coffee and decided to try it. Although I heard Demi Moore, Katy Perry, J-Lo and many other celebs were losing weight with this dietary supplement I was skeptical. But having tried everything and getting desperate I had no choice!
Millions of women in Europe and US got rid of their extra pounds thanks to this product. According to the research, 96.7% lost 12-17 kg in three weeks!
I went on their website , double-checked everything and ordered the coffee.
Results
After only two weeks, my results were stunning – I lost 6 kg!

The puffiness was gone and my complexion got much better! The hips and belly became notably smaller - and my mood became better! I started to believe I could become beautiful again without any dieting or exercising! So, I continued eating everything I wanted! I was too sick and tired of starving and working out...
By the end of the third week, I lost another 12 kg! I couldn't believe it happened just because I was following those simple instructions on the coffee package! Only two months passed and my 31kg were gone!
My belly was gone, I lost 31 kg and got the body I had never dared to dream about!
Even now, I cannot believe what I see in the mirror:
By the way, Green Coffee was tested by the National Academy of Sciences in 2012. The results would have been a bomb but they never made public.
Important: order from the official product website otherwise you might get a fake. Forget the stereotypes: you don't need any diets and workouts to have a nice figure!
Stop dreaming about a perfect body!

KELLY DENIED HOLDING YOUNG WOMEN IN ABUSIVE CULT

BY ONAKPOJERUO PRAISES

R Kelly has denied allegations that he is holding several young women in an "abusive cult".
A report by BuzzFeed accused the singer of brainwashing women, who got close to him in an effort to boost their musical careers.
The singer's lawyer said they are currently working "diligently and forcibly to pursue his accusers and clear his name".
The singer's lawyer, Linda Mensch, said in a statement: " Robert Kelly is both alarmed and disturbed at the recent revelations attributed to him. Mr Kelly unequivocally denies such allegations. "
Recall that R Kelly has faced accusations of sexual misconduct in the past, but was never found guilty.
The report, which quoted three unnamed sets of parents, said they had not seen or spoken with their daughters for months, and that the women, all of them over the age of consent, had their routines controlled by the singer.
That included rules about what they could eat and wear when to bath and sleep and how to engage in sexual encounters recorded by him, they said.
One of the women, Joycelyn Savage, 21, has told TMZ she was not in a cult.
In a video posted hours after the allegations emerged, she said, "I'm in a happy place in my life. I'm not being brainwashed or anything like that." She added that the issue had "definitely got out of hand".
Three former members of Kelly's inner circle were also interviewed, saying that six women lived in properties managed by the singer in similar conditions.
Some of the parents reported their concerns to the police, but the women said they were not being held against their will.
In 2008, R Kelly was acquitted of 14 charges of making child pornography after a videotape emerged allegedly showing him having sex with a 14-year-old girl.

THREE LADIES ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY ABDUCTING A PASTOR

By Onakpojeruo Praises
The police in Bulawayo, the second largest city in Zimbabwe, have arrested and charged three young ladies for allegedly abducting the Pastor of a local church in the Cowdray Park suburb and
gang-raping him. »
The Chronicle named the ladies as Sandra Ncube, 21, Riamuhetsi Mlauzi, 23 and 25-year-old
Mongiwe Mpofu who all reside at the same house in the suburb.
It was gathered that the Pastor had gone to the house to demand the money one of them owed him when one of the ladies led him into the house with Ncube starting the assault by holding him by the waist and fondling his private part.
The prosecutor, Petros Shoko told the Western Commonage Court presided by Magistrate Lungile Ncube , that they were being charged with aggravated indecent assault » .
“On July 14, 2017, at around 7 pm, the complainant went to the three accused persons’ residence to collect his money from Riamuhetsi Mlauzi, which she owed him.
They forced him to lie on the bed and undressed him. Ncube sat on his chest and he tried to push her away. However, Mlauzi, who was in the same room, held his legs together and sat on top, pressing him against the bed,” Shoko began.
Continuing, the prosecutor said:
"Mpofu, who was in another room, allegedly brought condoms and placed one on the complainant’s manhood. She then allegedly assisted in holding the complainant down as he was resisting.
Ncube had sexual intercourse with the complainant once, without his consent. The rest of the ladies also took turns to have intercourse with the man without his consent.”
When the charge was read to the accused, they all denied molesting the victim as they claimed they were only playing around, though they admitted indecently assaulting him.
“We were just playing around, Your Worship. I did not think that he would take it seriously,” said Ncube.
Mpofu distanced herself from the incident and said she had only been called to bring condoms.
“I was not part of it. They just called me to bring condoms. We keep condoms around the house and there were some in my room, so I just brought them.”
In her evidence, Mlauzi said she wanted to 'fix' the pastor, whom she accused of having a tendency of walking in on her when she was bathing.
“He always walks in on me bathing and claims to be unmoved as a man of God. I just wanted to see if he was going to be aroused or not. I did not plan to execute the whole rape thing, Your Worship.
I wanted him to see that he was not special and was not immune to sexual arousal. When I touched him, he immediately got aroused. And that is all we wanted to see,” she said.
The matter was reported at Cowdray Park Police Station and the complainant was referred to Mpilo Central Hospital for a medical examination which was produced in court as evidence

ARSENAL CLOSE TO SECURING A DEAL FOR THOMAS LEMAR

IFUKOR HARRISON AZUBIKE
Arsenal are reportedly close to a deal for AS Monaco winger Thomas Lemar after securing a breakthrough in talks with the Ligue 1 champions.
The Gunners are nearing a transfer set to cost £45 million for the France international, according to Warren Haughton of The Sun : "SunSport revealed earlier this month Lemar has already agreed terms with Arsenal and told the French champions to allow him to move to North London this summer."
Haughton reported how Lemar "will hope to get the green light to complete his switch to the Premier League before they face Paris-Saint Germain in Morocco this Saturday in the Trophee des champions."
Monaco hoped an £80 million asking price would put Arsenal off after two failed bids, per Haughton. Yet the club now thinks it can justify letting Lemar join midfielders Bernardo Silva and Tiemoue Bakayoko, along with left-back Benjamin Mendy, as high-profile exits this summer: "The club feel with such a small fanbase that any backlash from the supporters is something they can handle with minimal fuss."
Monaco have sold a few key players already in this window. Jean Catuffe/Getty Images
Landing Lemar would be a major coup for Arsenal and manager Arsene Wenger. The French manager would get a rising star, who at just 21 already boasts the perceptive movement, pace, technique and eye for goal to thrive in England's Premier League.
Lemar's potential arrival would also give the Gunners cover in the event star player and contract rebel Alexis Sanchez moves on. The free-scoring Chilean continues to be linked with a move to Monaco's domestic rivals Paris Saint-Germain, who are prepared to bid more than £40 million for the attacker whose contract runs out in 2018, according to Kaveh Solhekol of Sky Sports News.
Wenger has continually said Sanchez won't be sold this summer, per John Cross of the Daily Mirror .
However, Cross also recently told BBC 5 live Sport (h/tBBC.co.uk ) Arsenal may still consider selling Sanchez and signing Lemar would represent a summer of good business.
Some believe signing Lemar would help soften the blow of selling Sanchez. Laurence Griffiths/Getty Images
Arsenal fans may not feel the same way if their prolific talisman were allowed to move on, even if a burgeoning talent as gifted as Lemar were to move the other way.
One other player linked with the exit is Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny. The Gunners have reportedly held talks with
Galatasaray sporting director Cenk Ergun about the former Basel ace, per Turkish source
Fotospor (h/t Russell Edge of Football Insider).
Arsenal are said to have been receptive to the idea of selling Elneny, per the reports: "They claim that the Gunners responded positively to the enquiry and are said to be willing to let the 25-year-old depart this summer, having joined two years ago for a reported fee of £11.2 million (€12.5 million)."
Parting ways with Elneny would be a strange move, since the 25-year-old can operate in midfield or at centre-back. He provides useful cover in the middle where the Gunners' options have been stretched by Santi Cazorla 's injury woes.
Arsenal need midfielders like Elneny while Cazorla continues to recover from injury. Paul Gilham/Getty Images
While Elneny is unlikely to supplant Granit Xhaka or Aaron Ramsey in Arsenal's starting XI, he is a neat and efficient passer whom the club should keep. The Gunners want to trim the squad, but they have already considered selling Jack Wilshere, with Turkish side Antalyaspor reportedly in talks for the England international, per James Dale of Sky Sports.
Squad members such as Elneny are still valuable for Arsenal, while Wenger should do all he can to add an attacker as good as Lemar

THE BLUES AWAIT THE RESPONSE OF MONACO

IHWUGHWAVWE MAUREEN KPAROBO

The Blues are waiting for a response from Monaco and also believe Real Madrid want to sell Gareth Bale to Manchester United to fund their own move
Manchester City are in advanced talks to sign Kylian Mbappe from Monaco in a deal which would smash the world transfer record, Goal can reveal.
Real Madrid are also in the race to sign the 18-year-old but senior City decision makers have been in contact with their Monaco counterparts over the past 24 hours and are pushing to reach a speedy resolution.
Man City 15/8 to win Premier League
City sources close to the negotiations have been given the impression that Madrid need to sell Gareth Bale to Manchester United before they can make their interest official.
The Blues have already made a formal approach and are now awaiting a response from Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev.
The French champions have made it clear that they want mega money for Mbappe, meaning City, Madrid and any other suitors would have to pay more than £150 million.
PLAY
Monaco last week threatened several clubs, including City, with a formal complaint to Fifa over alleged illegal approaches to Mbappe, but the two sides have remained in contact since concluding negotiations for left-back Benjamin Mendy over the weekend.
Though it is believed Mbappe is also open to moving to the Santiago Bernabeu, Pep Guardiola has spoken personally with the teenager in a bid to convince him to move to Manchester, and the Catalan’s employers are now trying to persuade Monaco to sell.
Madrid, who were also among the clubs warned by Monaco last week, have had to wait to make their approach until they sell off several first-team players.
Having failed to recoup a fee for James Rodriguez, who joined Bayern Munich on loan, the Champions League holders have raised over £80m in the last week by selling Alvaro Morata to Chelsea and Danilo to City.
Mourinho confirms transfer plans
City are under the impression that Madrid’s hopes of signing Mbappe could hinge on Bale joining United in another big-money deal.
United boss Jose Mourinho confirmed on Tuesday that he is chasing “an attacking player, especially one that can play through the wings to give me more attacking options.”
City remain determined to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal but have been surprised by the Gunners’ determination not to sell to a Premier League rival.
The Blues had always expected the Londoners to relent, but Goal understands that over the past few days Guardiola and his staff have reluctantly discussed the possibility of waiting until next year to bring in the Chilean on a free transfer.
City are still in talks for both Alexis and Mbappe and could yet sign both before the end of the transfer window, though that would depend on a glut of player sales for big fees.
